Good News about the Visitation Valley Library

At Last!

The San Francisco Public Library staff has recommended increased funding in order to build new stand alone Visitacion Valley Branch Library.

The increase of almost 5.5 million dollars makes the total budget for the project $11,400,000. This new, larger budget allows for the construction of a new 8,700 square foot stand alone branch library at the corner of Leland & Rutland. By rescheduling other projects, library staff will be able to restart design work on our branch in July 2007.

The Library Commission approved this proposal on Thursday, March 1, 2007. This is good news for the Valley.
